One quote I liked from the reading was "The digital photograph also can be said to represent a single moment, but one that can be easily lengthened and amplified by joining it to many other moments through various forms of hyperlinks and hybrid media, including extending it as a movie." I liked this because I never thought of a movie as an extension of an image but after reading this I realized that a movie is technically just hundreds of images after one another. I also like that he touches on hybrid media - this made me think of more abstract art.

Another quote I liked was "The photograph's frame, heretofore simply a container for the image, can now store a variety of hidden information that can help to contextualize and amplify the image's meanings, accessible to the interested reader." I liked this because we spoke about this in class - in the sense that when shooting digitally you are able to see all the details of an image when you go in to edit it such as aperture, shutter speed, ISO, and the images color profile.

Another quote that stood out to me was "In other ways, the instantaneous photography allowed by camera phones is becoming a form of self-defense for civilians in all kinds of situations..." This stood out to me because it's so true. I see so many Facebook posts of license plates or people and the post always says something along the lines of "Can anyone identify this person?" and its always because they were involved in a crime of some kind. The use of mobile phones for photography is an extraordinary thing if you really think about it.
