Adam Fuss
Adam Fuss
Adam Fuss is a contemporary British artist, known specifically for his use of photo grams and his emphasis of unusual subjects and composition. A photo gram is where objects are placed on light sensitive paper and then exposed to light to create an image. Fuss started his career as a photographic apprentice in 1980 in Australia. He did this for two years and then moved to New York City. He began to create pin-hole camera images in 1984 and has since been exhibiting his work around the world.
With both of these images Fuss uses water to create a rippling effect. I like how he did this because they're both very similar but also both tell a completely different story and are both interpreted very differently. For example, the first one looks like it could just be rain droplets and it is quite simple but still interesting. the second one however, almost looks like a snake slithering through the water. i also feel like the second one was a lot harder to achieve and probably took more attempts to get his desired outcome.
I also really like the photo gram of the two bunnies because it is so unique and so different. i like the silhouettes of the bunnies and then the burst of color in the spilling intestines. This shows that Fuss strives to be unique and think of things that nobody else will. this also shows that he doesn't really focus on whether or not his image will create controversy or not and i like that there is a risk factor too it.
